They call and answer each other. I can't hear them with the windows closed, like last night (it's already hot here in South Texas) but I could hear them serenading each other when I went out for the paper this morning. I think these folks have lived here for a very long time - decades, and their chickens are probably grandfathered in. I don't think I could start up a new flock (flock?) of chickens now. ~LauraAnonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9768721.post-1113340297820512072005-04-12T16:11:00.000-05:002005-04-12T16:11:00.000-05:00No such rules out here in the boondocks. You are making me a little nervous. Our chicks arrive in two weeks. I did order one rooster and am sure I will end up with one or two more. There are ways to deal with overly zealous roosters...(key spooky organ music and mad laugh now).maggiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08611422287048965755noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9768721.post-1113336612632318592005-04-12T15:10:00.000-05:002005-04-12T15:10:00.000-05:00Hm. But no roosters.Jamiehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03304958139383108809noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-9768721.post-1113319408317105112005-04-12T10:23:00.000-05:002005-04-12T10:23:00.000-05:00We slept with the windows open last night, and the...We slept with the windows open last night, and the neighbors' chickens kept me up from 4:00 on. Yes, chickens. Right in the center of a small city/town. Chickens. Sigh. ~LauraAnonymousnoreply@blogger.com
